Boldness By The Blood

boldness by the bloodOur blood brings life to our bodies. Jesus blood brings life to our spirit. With
an acknowledgment that His death accomplished the consequence that we deserved from our sinful ways, we are saved and given His resurrection power through the Holy Spirit.

This new life through Christ living in us brings power, confidence, and boldness, but not merely for our own benefit. That mentality would be selfish and prideful.

Instead, we are saved to make God’s power known to the nations. He wants everyone to know Him, for Him to dwell in them, and for all of us to be with Him for eternity.

Jesus died on the cross as the Lamb of God who fulfilled the Old Testament law of sacrificing a lamb to take away sin.

As we boldly share the gospel of our hope and we testify to what God is doing in our lives we will overcome the works of the devil, our adversary, here on earth.

Satan desires to kill, steal, and destroy our lives. Jesus came to bring us life and life more abundantly. This life lived in a relationship with the Son of God is more than we can even ask or imagine as we walk in the power and authority of Christ in us. We are filled with the hope of His glory as we boldly witness to others who need hope and healing (John 10:10; Eph. 3:20; Col. 1:27).

You have the power to stop living in fear.

Stop believing the lies of the enemy who wants to steal your joy and peace and purpose.

Start standing strong to boldly share what God is doing in your life by the power of the blood of Jesus.

Think about this:

God knows if you will confess what Christ is doing in you and through you. He may be waiting for you to take the steps to testify and truly believe in faith what He will do before He releases His abundant blessings of peace and joy upon you.

Recently, I went to Israel. While staying in Tiberius along the Sea of Galilee, a handful of people from our tour group came upon Asian students who were dancing and praising Jesus. A couple of us joined them as we delighted in worshipping our God together in their language.

Making the decision to stay to worship, instead of going on a walk with the others from our group, we experienced God at work. Israeli soldiers joined us in dancing.

With barriers removed, in boldness and confidence we shared that as Christians we love the Jewish people and that we believe in the same God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. We went on to testify that we believe that the Messiah comes back twice. The first time to die on the cross that we may be forgiven as prophesied in Isaiah and the second time to reign and rule as King.

We proclaimed our love for them as family and some of the young men joined in singing the lyrics, “We are family.” We laughed and rejoiced even while some of the men snickered and mocked our message. Others listened intently and hushed them up.

Ending our God encounter, we prayed blessing with boldness and courage. This courage came from the blood of the Lamb poured out on our behalf to give us spiritual resurrection power to conquer the work of the devil who brings death and destruction.

Our obedience to testify filled us with overwhelming joy. By the power of the Holy Spirit we trust God to reveal truth that will overcome the deception of the devil and set His people free.

Promise from God:

They (God’s people) overcame Satan by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony (Revelation 12:11).

Pray with me:

Praise You Lord that You give us power to overcome Satan and demonic forces by sharing the good news of Jesus and our testimony of what You are doing in our lives. Give us boldness to share without fear to be a witness for You to conquer the lies, deception, and strongholds of the enemy that people are believing. Let us shout for joy the freedom You give us through the death and resurrection of Your Son who cleanses us by His blood poured out on our behalf. We praise You for taking our place on the cross at Calvary to demonstrate Your amazing love. Because of what You did we are willing to testify, even if it means people will come against us. We stand firm in our faith to proclaim Your power over death and destruction that brings peace and joy in the midst of our struggles. Use us today to overcome the devil by being a bold witness as we share the miracles You do in our lives everyday. Lord we eagerly anticipate what You will do today in us and through us to testify of Your faithfulness. Open our eyes that we may see You at work around us to proclaim Your glory. We trust You for this in Jesus name. Amen.

Share what God has done in your life to testify to His faithfulness and defeat our foe.
