4 Ways God Loves You

4 ways God lovesHow do you know that God loves you? The answer to this question will determine the peace you have in your life. If you truly understand the Father’s love, you will live in complete confidence that every situation is allowed by God to demonstrate His power through you.

4 Ways God Demonstrated His Love

  1. God chose to pay the consequence of your sin
  2. God chose to live in you through the gift of the Holy Spirit
  3. God chose to adopt you into His family
  4. God chose to protect you through the Word of God

In society when we break the law we go before a judge to be punished for our crime. God in His great love for you chose to pay the eternal punishment of your crime. From the perspective of a holy and perfect God, a crime or sin is anything that falls short of His holiness. The punishment of sin is eternal death and separation from a righteous God who cannot look upon unrighteousness. Jesus, the Son of God who never sinned, came to die in your place so that you can stand before a holy Judge. When you accept that Jesus paid the consequence of a brutal death in your place then you are made righteous and perfect in the sight of God. You are forgiven of all past, present, and future sin. God looks upon you and sees Jesus who is in you.

By accepting Jesus’ death and resurrection on your behalf, you invite Him into your heart to reign and rule as King, and you are given the gift of the Holy Spirit. God loves you so much that He comes to live in you to bring heaven to earth. You become the love of Jesus with Christ in you, the hope of His glory shining through you (Col. 1:27). Through the Holy Spirit, you are equipped to live a life that honors and glorifies God. He saves you from eternal destruction to make His mighty power known among the nations (Psalm 106:8).

God chose to adopt you as His beloved son or daughter. You are included in His family as a co-heir to Christ to inherit the throne room of heaven to live with your Father. He wants to bless you as His precious child. Although you may not have a good relationship with your father here on earth, you have a heavenly Daddy who adores you, wants to comfort you, provide for you, and protect you.

God protects you by writing a love letter to guide and direct your path. His love letter is written in the Bible, which is a light unto your feet (Psalm 119:105). By following the Word of God, you can live a victorious life without regret, guilt and shame.

Do you believe God loves you? If you do, you will walk in confidence that God is with you and for you, not against you. God will allow every situation as a test of your heart to show you whether you believe and trust that God adores you. God already knows your heart. He knows everything about you and still loves you. Today you can make the decision to believe that God loves you. Invite Him into your heart to experience His love, His peace, and a joyfilled life through an intimate relationship with Him. Jesus said, “I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly” (John 10:10).

Promise from God

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. ” John 3:16-17

Prayer to God

Thank you for your peace that surpasses all understanding in Christ Jesus (Phil. 4:7). Thank you for leaving the majesty and glory of heaven to come as your Son to die in my place so that I may stand before a Holy God completely forgiven and cleansed of all unrighteousness. Thank you for giving me the Holy Spirit to equip me to live a righteous life, to be the love of Jesus to others, and to make your mighty power known. Thank you that you give me confidence with Christ in me, that I can be strong and courageous, not afraid or discouraged, because you are with me wherever I go (Joshua 1:9). Thank you that my afflictions are temporary here on earth and I have the hope of eternity with you in heaven as your precious child and co-heir to Christ. Because of your great love for me, I want to live for you. Empower me with your Holy Spirit as I surrender each moment to you trusting that you allow each circumstance in my life for your glory. I love you Jesus. I want to honor you this day forward in Jesus name I pray. Amen.
